SubsApp ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our subscription tracking application ("SubsApp" or "the App").
By using SubsApp, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information We Collect
SubsApp is designed with privacy as a core principle. All your subscription data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We collect and process the following information:
Data You Provide
- Subscription Information: Name, cost, billing cycle, payment date, category, notes, and icons/colors you assign to subscriptions
- App Settings: Currency preferences, notification settings (reminder timing and preferences), category customizations
- Premium Status: Information about your in-app purchase status to enable premium features
Automatically Collected Data
- Device Notifications: Local notification scheduling data to remind you of upcoming bills
- iCloud Sync Data (Premium Users Only): If you enable iCloud sync, your subscription data is stored in your personal iCloud account
Third-Party Service Data
- RevenueCat: Anonymous identifiers and purchase transaction data for managing in-app purchases and premium subscriptions
How We Use Your Information
Your data is used exclusively to provide the core functionality of SubsApp:
- Subscription Management: Display, organize, and track your subscriptions
- Notifications: Send local push notifications to remind you of upcoming bills based on your preferences
- Data Synchronization: Sync your subscription data across your Apple devices via iCloud (premium users only)
- Premium Features: Validate your premium purchase status to unlock unlimited subscriptions and additional features

We do not:

Data Storage and Security
Local Storage
All subscription data is stored locally on your iOS device using Apple's SwiftData framework, which is secured by iOS device encryption. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud sync.
iCloud Storage (Premium Feature)
Premium users may optionally enable iCloud sync to synchronize subscription data across their Apple devices. When enabled:
- Data is encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud account
- Data is protected by Apple's security infrastructure
- Only you can access this data through your Apple ID
- You can disable iCloud sync at any time from Settings
No External Servers
We do not operate external servers that collect or store your subscription information. All data remains within the Apple ecosystem (your device and optionally your iCloud account).
Third-Party Services
SubsApp integrates with the following third-party services:
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to process in-app purchases and manage premium subscriptions. RevenueCat collects:
- Anonymous user identifiers
- Purchase transaction data
- Device and app version information for analytics

Your Rights and Control
You have complete control over your data:
Access and Export
- View all your subscription data within the app at any time
- Export your data in multiple formats (CSV, JSON, PDF) from the Settings page
Modification and Deletion
- Edit or delete individual subscriptions at any time
- Delete all subscription data from the Settings page
- Uninstall the app to permanently remove all local data from your device
iCloud Sync Control
- Enable or disable iCloud sync at any time from Settings
- Disabling iCloud sync will keep local data on your device but stop synchronization
- Deleting the app will remove local data; iCloud data can be managed through iOS Settings
Notifications
- Enable or disable notifications globally from Settings
- Customize notification timing (days before bill and time of day)
- Manage app notifications through iOS Settings
Data Retention
- Local Data: Retained on your device until you delete subscriptions or uninstall the app
- iCloud Data: Retained in your iCloud account until you disable sync or delete the app data
- RevenueCat Data: Purchase history is retained by RevenueCat per their data retention policy to maintain your premium status and comply with Apple's requirements
Children's Privacy
SubsApp is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is designed for users who manage their own financial subscriptions and requires an understanding of billing cycles and financial management.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
International Data Transfers
SubsApp stores data locally on your device and optionally in your iCloud account. If you use iCloud, your data may be stored in Apple data centers located in various countries according to Apple's iCloud terms and conditions.
RevenueCat, our payment processor, may process data in the United States and other countries where they operate.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by:
- Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
- Displaying a notice within the app
- Sending a notification if required by applicable law
Your continued use of SubsApp after changes are made constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
